Graeye, a talented and influential artist and producer, has earned the distinction of becoming Run It Up! Port Harcourt’s first-ever plaque awardee, a recognition of his dedication, artistry, and impact on the creative community.
On February 6th, 2025, Mr. China Acheru presented Graeye with the Avant-Garde Sonic Star plaque, an accolade that signifies those who began as supporters and have played a key role in scaling Run It Up! PH to its full potential. The plaque was awarded for his impressive 32-week streak on the City Choice Playlist, a widely respected chart that spotlights standout tracks from emerging artists and voted for weekly by the audience. This milestone highlights his consistency, community engagement, and ability to connect with listeners.
Why Does This Matter?
For eight months, Graeye’s track “Paloma” featuring R15E and Zigahnu, held its place on the playlist, proving the song’s lasting appeal. Beyond that, he has actively referred fellow creatives to Run It Up! PH, contributing to the platform’s growth and creating more opportunities for emerging artists.
